Some updates on my mother’s search! My grandfather, my mother’s dad, is indeed alive. It has been a very long time since we even saw him and my mom just texted me. 

Here is our convo: 

MOM: “Ok walter harlow still alive evelyn calls him from time to time.”

SON: “You are talking to her??? and ur daddy is alive!”

MOM: “We just emailed on ancestry then she gave her email and i have her mine then she sent a pic of her with walter and i feel ugh i lost his address years ago ugh”

SON: “Oh mommy…how do you feel right now!? *shocked smiley face*

MOM: “I am a terrible daughter.”

SON: “Oh please! DO NOT SAY THAT. obviously these things do happen. u turned out to be a great mother!!” 

MOM: “I hear ya”

SON: “Oh mommy 20 years is truly changing for both of us!”

MOM: “Yep. So tonite i think i will start a long email.” 

SON: “I want to cry. Mommy. :)”

MOM: “Me 2 but everyone still up”

My mother is truly an amazing person and now is the time to reconnect with her father! I am so beyond words right now and I would like to share the experience with all of you because you deserve to here a little piece of my life. I mean, I am shocked and I did cry a bit. To know that the internet is that powerful to seek out long lost family members is amazing!
